Self-advocacy is essential, but for many of us in the disabled community, it can feel exhausting, confusing, or even unsafe. This virtual workshop is designed to make that process easier. It gives you tools and a framework for how to create real-life scripts to ask for what you need clearly, confidently, and without apology.

Join DEIA consultant, public speaker, and disability advocate, Catarina Rivera, MSEd, MPH, CPACC for this engaging, interactive, virtual live workshop.

4:00-5:30 PM ET/1 PM PT/10 PM CET

Google Meet

Through a mix of group discussion, modeling by Catarina with shared examples, and guided practice, the workshop meets you where you are.

You will identify common scenarios that arise in your life that can benefit from self-advocacy scripts that you can develop ahead of time. Preparing scripts reduces stress, saves valuable spoons/energy, and increases the chance that you will have your access needs met.

You will come away with tips, and work to develop scripts to help you advocate for yourself (or your loved ones).

You will...

  • Address internalized ableism
  • Feel less alone
  • Build confidence and community
  • Own your right to take up space

Seats are limited!
